Mitech recently received an order for a specially designed and manufactured angle control valve for export to Turkey. This is Mitech's largest single valve order to date. The valve is 150 x 250 mm in WC6 chrome moly with an energy dissipating disk stack trim complete with two diffuser plates and silencer downstream. This particular valve will be for use with 500øC superheated steam as a boiler start-up vent valve in a Turkish fertiliser company. The operating pressure is 125 bar and the valve is designed to reduce the pressure to atmospheric at a maximum flow rate of 65 litre/h. Approximately three years ago, Mitech supplied a similar valve to a local company.
